As believers in Christ, we are called to live a life that is led by the Spirit, and not by the observance of days, months, times, and years. The new covenant gospel that we have received is a gospel of freedom, and in it, we have been set free from the law and its demands. Instead of living under the burden of the law, we have been given the privilege of knowing Christ in the power of His resurrection.
This knowledge of Christ is not just a mental understanding, but a spiritual experience that comes through our participation as priests in the new covenant. It is through our faith and the expression of that faith that we are able to know Him more intimately. However, this faith is not something that we generate on our own, but rather, it is authored by the Holy Spirit within us.
In order to live a life that is led by the Spirit, we must be filled with the Spirit. It is only through the power of the Holy Spirit that we are able to express faith and live a life that is pleasing to God. When we allow the Holy Spirit to work in and through us, we are able to live a life that is characterized by love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.
So let us not be burdened by the observance of days, months, times, and years, but instead, let us embrace the freedom that we have in Christ. Let us be filled with the Spirit, and let us express our faith through the power of the Holy Spirit. In doing so, we will be able to know Christ more intimately and experience the fullness of the new covenant gospel.
What does it truly mean to know God in the power of His resurrection, and how does this knowledge transform our lives?
